International Women's DayEach year we celebrate the accomplishments of local women and those who have made a difference around the world and down through history. A great time to reflect on all the amazing women we know; both the women making headlines and writing history and those who are making smaller (but not less important) contributions!

Victims and Survivors of Crime Week
Each year we host an event to strengthen the services available to victims and survivors of crime. Through education, information sharing, highlighting best practice and ensuring there is community connection. Most importantly, listening to the experiences and needs of those who have been impacted directly or indirectly by crime.

TBTN: Charlotte County Take Back the NightTake Back the Night is a community walk where we gather to stand united in protest of violence against women, with a special emphasis on sexual violence (perpetrated against women and men, girls and boys).
Our TBTN events have grown and made a significant impact over the years. 2017 will see our 7th consecutive annual walk, bringing awareness and educating on this urgent issue. |
National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against WomenWe honour the women lost to gendered violence and make plans to eliminate violence from our communities, our workplaces, schools and homes.
In 1989 the murder of 14 women at theÉcole Polytechnique de Montréal shocked our nation and the world. On December 6th we gather to remember the past and to hope for the future. Please join us. |
